NutritionLink Services Society Grant  --  FAQ


1. Does our organization need to be a registered charity to qualify for a grant?
 
Organizations need to be a registered charity or qualified donee located in British Columbia to qualify for a grant. 

2.  What are the types of grants you offer?

We are excited to launch our revamped granting program, which offers two categories of grants:

      Start-up Grants:
  • These are for new or renewed projects
  • Similar to the previous NutritionLink Services Society grant program
  • Maximum $10,000 grant
     Enhancement Grants:
  • For those who have existing funding, this grant offers support for participant accessibility in light of the society's values of diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Examples: funds can be used for participant childcare, transportation, translations services, honoraria for Indigenous elder or knowledge keepers, or a guest speaker
  • $2,000 - $5,000 grants available​

​3. What is the time line for the 2024 - 2025 Grant Applications?
  • Grant applications open online July 31, 2024
  • Deadline for submissions is September 30, 2024 at 11:59 on PDT
  • Decisions will be announced in December, 2024
Please note: NLS does not provide comments on unsuccessful applicants. A decision to decline a request does not imply that the applicant's program is not needed or valued, but that it does not fall within our guidelines or priorities, or sufficient funds are not available at the time.
  • Funding will be for projects starting in 2025
  • Successful applicants are required to provide interim and final reports that address the progress of the project, time lines, successes and challenge

4. Can previous successful applicants reapply for a grant? 
Yes! 
If you wish to apply in consecutive years, please be sure to submit your interim report on time to be considered for the 2024 - 2025 grant.
