Founded in 2012 NutritionLink Services Society (NLS) awarded its first set of NutritionLink Services Society Grants. Each year NLS grants funds to registered charities or to other not-for-profit organizations in BC that support initiatives in keeping with the society’s own mission: To support and sponsor food literacy projects through nutrition education and food skill building for priority populations in British Columbia.

NutritionLink Bursaries (Past Initiative)
In 2012, NutritionLink began gifting three bursaries to university students studying nutrition or a subject with a nutritional component in British Columbia. One bursary was given annually to a student at the University of Victoria whose studies focus on food and nutrition in the School of Exercise, Science, Physical and Health Education. A second bursary was given to a student at Simon Fraser University who is working toward a Certificate in Applied Human Nutrition, and a third bursary helps finance the studies of a student at the University of Northern British Columbia.
