The NutritionLink Services Society (NLS) is looking for a new General Board Member to aide in developing our fundraising capabilities. If you have a solid background in organizing and developing fundraising strategy, this might be the ideal volunteer board position for you!
NLS is a highly respected participant among BC’s charitable organizations focused on improving health for BC residents through the promotion of healthy eating. While we have a successful track record and a solid financial base, structural changes in our field require NLS to reinvent itself to adapt to our new reality via a strong fundraising strategy.
To this end we are looking to recruit a new Board member to complement our existing volunteer Board and play a significant role in this undertaking. Our objective is to expand our NLS granting program within the next 12 months.
Our vision: BC residents enjoy a healthy diet.
Our mission: To support and sponsor food security projects through nutrition education and food skill building for vulnerable BC residents.
Come join us as we work to develop a fundraising strategy for the expansion of our granting program to reach more targeted food skill building programs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience, broad knowledge of BC’s charities, unbridled enthusiasm and demonstrated success in facilitating the strategic repositioning of small/charitable organizations.

Approximate Position Start Date: June, 2018
Time commitment: 5 hours per month
